In an inspiring display of creativity and aspiration, students of General Baptist Bible College recently participated in a dynamic Career Guidance Week. From March 11th to 15th, the campus was abuzz with activities aimed at helping students navigate their future career paths with confidence and clarity.
Themed “Make a Choice, Take a Stand: A Road to the Right Career Path,” the week-long event was organized by the Guidance and Counseling Department.
Through a series of engaging activities, students were encouraged to explore their interests, skills, and aspirations, while also equipping them with the necessary tools and resources to make informed decisions about their academic and career journeys.
The highlight of the event was the Career Dress-Up Day Activity held at the GBBC Covered Court on March 14th and 15th. Students from different grade levels showcased their creativity and ambition by dressing up as various professionals, including doctors, engineers, astronauts, teachers, and firefighters, among others.
This interactive activity aimed to inspire students to set meaningful goals and pursue careers that resonate with their passions and interests.
The program also featured career presentations by both students and teachers, providing valuable insights into different career paths and opportunities. Awards were given to recognize outstanding presentations and creativity, further motivating students to explore and excel in their chosen fields.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Ms. Annalee Defante, head of the Guidance and Counseling Department, emphasized the importance of providing students with opportunities to explore and discover their potential. “Career guidance activities play a crucial role in empowering students to identify their strengths and set meaningful goals for their future careers,” she remarked.
With its focus on empowering students to make informed choices and pursue their aspirations, Career Guidance Week at GBBC exemplified the institution’s commitment to nurturing holistic development and preparing students for success in the ever-changing landscape of the professional world.
